The Football Pink, issue 3

Put Niels In Goal

Oh yes, oh yes. It’s that time again, except this time it is even better. A better time. A time of joy and excitement because Issue 3 of The Football Pink magazine is out.

You can buy it for your Kindle here or you can go direct to the website to get one of a limited number of print issues.

I have written about Alan Sillitoe and his use of football as a means of exploring the working class in England in the post-war period. Rip-roaring stuff, I tell you.

Other pieces include a look at the non-league politicos team of choice, Dulwich Hamlet, by Martin Cloake, and an argument from Ouriel Daskal that we have Jewish football thinkers to thank for some startling tactical innovations.

All in all, it’s a brilliant read, even if I do say so myself, all superbly put together and edited by the indefatigable Mark Godfrey.
