They are, according to Brendan  Rodgers, from the same bottle.  But Roberto Martinez will be  hoping he’s the one left raising a  glass at Goodison Park tomorrow afternoon.

 For the first time in more years than  either side would care to remember,  Everton and Liverpool meet for the  Merseyside derby with more than just  local pride at stake.

 Only three points separate the  second-placed Anfield outfit from their  neighbours in the Premier League table,  with both sides eager to maintain an  impressive start to the campaign.

 And the similarities extend to the  dugout, with both managers having  forged their reputations while occupying the hotseat at Swansea City.
